Visit
The Royal Tokaji Wine Company is located at 3909 Mad, Rakoczi ut 35, Hungary. It welcomes visitors
by appointment to its winery in the former Diocesan Bishop's residence, with its pleasant courtyard featuring a bronze bust of Hugh Johnson, and its 600-year-old underground cellars. Wine tasting programmes can be followed by a spectacular short walk up St. Tamas Hill which overlooks the First Growth vineyards of the winery.
The best time of the year to visit the Tokaj region, now a World Heritage Site, is in the months of May and June, and September and October. Wines may be purchased at the winery. Excellent accommodation and restaurants are close to the winery; Mádikúria and Degenfeld Palace Hotel.
