The Wine

Royal Tokaji owns a unique combination of first and second growth vineyards, including one of the two great first growths Mezes Maly. Along with Szt Tamas, Betsek, Nyulaszo, Birsalmas, the Royal Tokaji winery comprises 107 hectares of vineyards.


The Royal Tokaji portfolio includes dry white Furmint, late harvest Ats Cuvee, 5 and 6 puttonyos aszu blends and single vineyard wines, Aszu Essencia and very limited quantities of Essencia. The wines are made in the traditional manner, with greater extraction and longer barrel-aging in the 600 year old underground cellars. Royal Tokaji seek a gentle and controlled oxidation of the wine, providing its distinctive colour, aroma and complexity.
